STAR 99.1 FM is the only contemporary Christian music station on the New York/ New Jersey radio dial. Our highly-interactive mix of personalities, music, contests, promotions and listener phone-calls are custom-designed to encourage, inform, entertain and inspire our listeners. STAR 99.1 FM (a service of Pillar of Fire, Inc.), is a not-for-profit, listener-supported 501(c)(3) organization serving families in the New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania region for over 80 years.

STAR 99.1 is award-winning radio! STAR 99.1 has been recognized by the National Association of Broadcasters as the 2008 Crystal Award winner for community service. STAR 99.1 was also named 2010 Station of the Year by the Christian Music Broadcasters Association and the National Religious Broadcasters Station of the Year in 2007 and 2008.

Our mission is to connect with the hearts of radio listeners in the New York metropolitan area and invite them into the greater story of God through the most compelling programming and engaging music of our target audience.
