Our Listeners

Our target listener is a 38 year-old female, married with children. Arbitron ratings tell us we have approximately 500,000 listeners every week. Our listeners value faith, family and community. They desire to live lives of meaning and purpose. They listen to STAR 99.1 almost exclusively!

Impacting The Metro Area

STAR 99.1 listeners make the Metro Area a better place to live, work and play! Below are just a few of the many ways STAR 99.1 impacts the surrounding communities.

STAR 99.1 partnered with Compassion International to help those suffering in Haiti. Our listeners opened up their hearts and their wallets by donating $100,579.00 in ONE day.

Thing 1 and Thing 2 from The Cat in the Hat collected more than 8,000 gently used children's books for STAR 99.1's Children's Book Drive. Books were sorted, cleaned and delivered to various organizations throughout NJ.

Throughout the summer, STAR 99.1 hit the road to collect medical supplies, school supplies and flip flops for the children of Happy Home orphanage in the Khammam district of Andhra Pradesh, India. These items were personally delivered by several STAR 99.1 employees.

During a concert event in September, STAR 99.1 listeners filled 2 vans with blankets that were delivered to the Market Street Mission in Morristown. Blankets will be distributed to the men who come to the Mission looking for help and hope.
