So long for now.
Nine years – wow, who was I when I started on the morning show? I was an unmarried, recent college grad looking to change the world and now that this chapter of life is over, I’m a married father of two, I never would have seen this for myself. It’s surreal that my days on the morning show are over for now.
I wanted to thank all of you for the offers of coffee and donuts while I stood out in the cold in empty parking lots, and for not laughing while I wore all those silly costumes. I want to thank you for all the stories and prayers, the hugs and the laughs and even the tears. From Empty Shoe Memorials to Rubber Band Balls and Knights, and those bad Regis impersonations, it’s a little overwhelming to realize that this huge chapter of life is over, and that I’m on a brand new adventure. I’m in a season where God has called me to help craft the overall sound of the music you hear on Star 99.1 , and to also set my mind on bigger picture ideas at Star 99.1.
I’d just like to thank Dawn for being my comrade in this crazy thing called morning drive radio. She made me look better than I ever could be. For all the mentors that have helped me grow along the way. To my family that had to put up with the early mornings with support and love. I’m going to miss being a part of the morning family, but I’m holding onto Jesus for this new chapter. WORD UP!
