What would our towns, cities, and countries look like if every church had a strong youth ministry?  Imagine if it was normal where teens heard the word of God and chose to passionately commit their lives to following Jesus on a regular basis in the churches of our towns and cities!

Is this not God’s will?  Doesn’t God want every teen to hear the gospel in a clear, easily understood way?  Doesn’t God want His children to be discipled on a regular basis?  It can only happen when strong passionate leaders are able to lead ministries designed to raise up strong teen disciples and leaders.

The average youth ministry is run by one very committed passionate person who loves Jesus and loves teens.  Over time, more teens are reached and the demands go up.  This one great leader then finds themselves overwhelmed and unable to meet the needs of their teens.  Over time, discouragement and burn out take over.  As demands grow, it can be overwhelming.  That’s the problem, but what is the answer?  Transitioning from isolation to team ministry is the answer.

Youth Ministry = Team Ministry Training

Jesus functioned in team ministry.  The early apostles built teams of leaders, so should we.  On Saturday, May 12, a three-hour training will take place in Staten Island at Calvary Assembly of God, 4055 Richmond Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10312.  Some topics to be covered include:

1)      Dreaming dreams and having vision for your youth ministry.

2)      Building a team of leaders to work towards that vision and dream.

3)      Growing as a leader.

4)      Planning that makes the dream become a reality.

5)      Empowerment of leaders.

6)      Managing the team and dream over time.

7)      Using the same principles that work in the local church to build regional coalitions to impact your region for Jesus Christ!
