My Dinner Party
dawnwheeler | 22 December, 2008 13:06
So this past weekend I had my family over for dinner. (This alone makes me laugh b/c there were 10 of us in my apartment, which does not have a dining room!) It was such a great day...I think this picture of my nephew sums it all up. Now if only I could get this reaction every time I cooked!
Lean Cuisine Recall List
dawnwheeler | 19 November, 2008 14:53
This morning Johnny read off some of the recalls for Lean Cuisine. Here is the article from rgj.com:
A recall was issued Monday for three kinds of Lean Cuisine frozen chicken dinners after small pieces of hard, blue plastic were found in the meat.
"We had a report from a consumer that she had bitten into the piece plastic and felt like it had hurt her gum, but she did not seek medical attention," Nestlé spokeswoman Roz O'Hearn said. "We do have very rigorous quality protection and in this particular case some blue plastic appeared to be mixed into the lot. It's unfortunate, but as soon as we found out about it we wanted to go take care of it."
The U.S. Department of Agriculture said the Utah business recalled about
1.2 million meals Tuesday morning after national distribution and requested stores to pull the meals from shelves. O'Hearn said two of the three affected meals, "Lean Cuisine Chicken Mediterranean" and "Lean Cuisine Chicken Tuscan," had been shipped to Northern Nevada Wal-Marts.
The recalled items are:
Customers with dinners matching those descriptions are instructed to return the product to the store it was purchased at for a refund.
O'Hearn said Nestlé believes it has traced the source of the plastic to a raw ingredient supplier but is currently working with the other company to verify it.
Consumers with questions about the recall can call 800-227-6188

Downhere at STAR 99.1 and performance of Bohemian Rhapsody
dawnwheeler | 14 November, 2008 09:31
So the guys from Downhere were with us yesterday morning and performed their song "Here I Am". It's incredible how much Marc sounds like the guy from Queen! Turns out we're not the only ones who think so. I found this video of him performing Bohemian Rhapsody at a church in NJ. It's beyond amazing!

The #1 Three-Word Phrase That Women Most Want to Hear
dawnwheeler | 15 October, 2008 13:09
Since Johnny wouldn't tell us the #1 three-word phrase that women most want to hear, we had a lot of fun guessing what it could be. Here are some of the guesses:
I love you.
You look great.
I am sorry.
I appreciate you.
Can I help?
You are right.
Let's go shopping.
It's fat free.
But the #1 phrase is: You lost weight!
I don't know about you, but that's not the #1 phrase I'd want to hear. I personally like "It's on sale!". What 3-word phrase would you want to hear?
Fee is MAD
dawnwheeler | 08 October, 2008 13:49
Last week the band Fee came in the studio before playing at the Pastor's Appreciation Lunch. (They were AMAZING by the way!)
...thought it'd be funny to make our "mean faces" for the camera!
Brandon Heath Breakdance Video
dawnwheeler | 08 October, 2008 13:37
Okay, so maybe this is more near and dear to my heart since I am currently taking an 8 week hip hop dancing class, but I find this to be hysterical! Hope you enjoy and maybe....just maybe I'll get a video of my hip hop dance class!
What would Sarah Palin have named you?
dawnwheeler | 18 September, 2008 12:37
This website is hysterical! Since Sarah Palin has given her children some very unique names, there is now a website that will tell you what she would have named you, if you were her child. Check it out and tell us what your name would be!
http://personal-space.com/script/script.php
Johnny would have been Halter Grasshopper Palin
Stacey would be Drown Wing Palin
David's name would be Steak Leather Palin (I think I'll start calling him that!)
And I would be Puck Mule Palin
33 Miles Joins the Morning Show
dawnwheeler | 05 September, 2008 11:38
These guys are really great and a ton of fun!
Personally, I was just thrilled to have someone admit that they were original 90210 fans!
(33Miles with Johnny Stone in the Morning)
I also found it quite amusing to hear that Jason did his first talent show in 5th grade. He sang Bette Midler's The Rose. (He claims it was because it was his friend's moms' favorite song and she was playing the piano for them...but who really knows...)
Just picture two 5th graders singing this...haha, very cute!

To My Friends Who Are Single
dawnwheeler | 31 July, 2008 11:44
If you're single you probably understand. Now don't get me wrong, I have no problem with the fact that I'm not married. I get to sprawl out on my bed and not fight for the covers. I control the TV and the thermostat. Sometime I have brownies for dinner and I never have to ask permission to attend a "girls night". Being single isn't really so bad, except when it comes to family photos.
Let me explain. During vacation my family wanted to get professional pictures taken of everyone (which turned out really great). But after the family photo taken (with everyone in it) the photographer broke us up into 3 goups: my mom and dad; my sister, brother-in-law and their kids; and... me. Now seriously, can you really picture me buying a photo of myself and hanging it on my wall? "Hey, look everyone! There I am!" haha.
So I was hoping you can add to my list and share some funny stories. Just finish the sentence "Being single isn't really so bad, except when ..." I look forward to hearing them! :)
