STAR 99.1 salutes Stonecrest Community Church, our Ministry of the Week!
Stonecrest Community Church exists to know Christ and to make Him known to a hurting world. We are a community of people who desire to grow closer to God in our discovery and relationship with Jesus Christ and each other. Many who gather here are new to church, simply investigating what we believe. Others are seeking God and wanting to connect with him. And many of us identify ourselves as Christ-followers, learning two things: to worship God, and to reflect the character and heart of Jesus to the people around us.
At Stonecrest, our goal is to lead all followers of Christ to an experience of Connection... Connection to God, Connection to Others, Connection to Service and Connection to Seekers. These four points of connection are what propel us in our walk with God.
Our Sunday services take place at 9:00 and 11:00 AM in our newly renovated auditorium and feature high-energy praise and worship as well as relevant Bible-based preaching. During each service, we offer a ministry for children from birth to kindergarten in our brand new Kids Suite area. Elementary-aged kids attend their own service called The Great Escape. Following each service, one can enjoy a fresh cup of hot coffee or tea in the lounge.
Stonecrest offers a wide range of ministries and programs during the week for the whole family. Listeners of STAR 99.1 FM will recognize our Lead Pastor, Brent Haggerty, from his Perspectives spots which air frequently. Our Agua Viva Spanish Ministry at 16 Mountain Avenue in Bound Brook offers the After School Helpers program for Jr. and Sr. High students, English as a Second Language courses, prayer meetings in Spanish, and the Alpha Course in Spanish.
